A passenger who was caught on video pulling an emergency lever on a London Tube during a furious row claims she did it because she was being racially abused.
The woman pulled the lever, which stopped the train to the fury of other passengers, and said ‘no-one is going nowhere now, because of you’ to the man she was arguing with.
The woman, who refused to divulge her name, claims that she did it because the man she was arguing with called her a ‘monkey’ and she wanted him to be arrested.
She claims this happened before the video started.
She told the MailOnline that she had moved out of her seat to let a pregnant lady sit down and asked the man to move out of the way – but he told her ‘not to f***ing touch him’.
‘I went to offer my seat to a pregnant lady, I tapped the guy on the shoulder so he would move out of the way so she could sit down,’ she said.
‘I said “excuse me can she sit down” and he replied by saying don’t you f***ing touch me.
The two commuters rant at each other during a clip filmed on the Jubilee line where a female passenger pulls the emergency alarm
‘He called me a monkey and said that we think that we can do what we want and then pushed me.
‘When I pulled the lever the train staff escorted him off the train, I’m the victim here not him.’
In the video filmed on the Jubilee line, the man shouts over to the woman wearing a cap and camouflage scarf ‘one more picture, stupid idiot b****’.
In retaliation the woman says: ‘B****? you’re the b****, your mother is a b****!’
She then says ‘you know what’ before pulling the emergency alarm and saying ‘no-one is going anywhere now because of you’.
Other passengers try to intervene as she goes to pull the lever as her opponent shouts ‘you’re a f***ing idiot’.
She adds: ‘Don’t f**** with me, everyone has to suffer because of you.
‘I want them to come and arrest you and deport you.’
Transport for London said that they had no comment to make at this stage.
